Five generations of Wright's have worked to maintain the tradition of producing maple syrup and maple products on the farm.
Leon E. Wright Sr. was inducted into the American Maple Museum's Hall of Fame in 1978 for his contributions to the maple industry. Currently, there are 7200 taps both in buckets and plastic tubing, producing an average of 1500 gallons of syrup per year.
A new sugar house was constructed in 1999 containing a 6 foot by 16 foot wood fired evaporator with a steam away system. Wright Farms is located in the Town of Farmersville on County Road 80, Laidlaw Road, near the intersection of Peavy and Rogers Road.
