A museum, an educational center, a community center, and a heritage and cultural center.
The African American Center for Cultural Development exists to value, promote and integrate the rich and diverse history and culture of the Southern Tier Region of New York State through the celebration of the talents, lives and history of African Americans in the region. Through photographs, displays, books and the spoken memories of the people who grew up in and around the area, they will strive to tell the story of the past, preserving the heritage for future generations.
In addition, the cultural center will also host music festivals, workshops and retreats. Check their website for upcoming events.
